Abstract

This editorial focuses on volunteerism research completed on older adults and the potential mental and physical health impacts it may have on college-aged students.

Author Biography

Catherine Stemmans Paterson, Indiana State University

Cat Stemmans Paterson, Ph. D. , has served on Indiana State University's faculty since 1998 and has been affiliated with the Center for Community Engagement since 2008. Her work in the CCE focuses on the Curricular Engagement Inventory. She serves as Editor of the Journal of Community Engagement and Higher Education. Cat is an Professor in the Department of Applied Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Paterson earned her Ph. D. in 1998 at The University of Southern Mississippi, her M. Ed. degree in 1995 at the University of Louisiana – Monroe, and her B. S. degree in 1994 at The University of Louisiana – Lafayette.
